Whistle for the Choir - The Fratellis
I don't classify myself as a fan girl of sorts (I generally don't like to like things, because it means that I might be sad in its absence. Take for example my brief obsession with Cookie Clots. I faithfully patronised 7-11 for a month just to get them. Then one day, the supplies ran out, and they decided not to restock it anymore. I was heartbroken, to say the least, and I suffered withdrawal symptoms for weeks after.), so its a big deal when I say I adore these guys.
How can anyone resist lyrics like these:
You're so sweet to try, oh my, you caught my eye
A girl like you's just irresistible.
Anyway I am starting on my Fratellis cycle again because I was sad and Dennis decided that I needed a (new) happy theme song for my life, and he offered Shuffle by Bombay Bicycle Club, which had lyrics like, 'Why won't you believe it until its gone.'
Being the hyper-sensitive lyric type person, I would obviously not opt for that to be my theme song.
Besides, I am still in love with that song. To be precise, I am still in love with how the song makes me feel. Therefore, the Fratellis are once again (officially) my new rave band.
Note: The Fratellis broke up in 2009, or should we say 'entered an indefinite hiatus'. I count the break up as one of the biggest tragedies in my teenage years. Kids, this reinforces the fact that you shouldn't be too in love with anything. Especially not Cookie Clots.
